Friendica and WordPress playing nicely

In addition to running Friendica on my home-server, I also installed WordPress, since frieindica can cross-post with your blog... this looks like a very nice feature. I can  check-box for this to "Post to WordPress" and it goes straight to my blog. I wonder if images will go through as well?  Does anyone else use this feature? Any issues? Does it update WordPress if you edit the post?

Here we go..lets see if this works....second try...

Day 2 with Freindica

I started my week out with a new installation of Friendica on my home-server. Everything is running fine, and I seem to be connected and receiving updates from the contacts I have added, although I am not sure if I am getting images from Diaspora contacts yet. I will have to wait for @Sean Tilley to post some more images to see if it is working.

Also, not sure if we use #hash-tags in friendica, since it has a "Categories" field for each post.

Definately not seeing as much action as JoinDiaspora. I probably need to spend more time adding contacts. There was not a tool to import all of my contacts from D*, so I am having to go through each one by one.

For now, it is kind of quiet here.

Day 1 with Friendica

Last night I was able to get Friendica up and running on my home-server, and add some of my contacts from Diaspora. So far it looks great. In some ways superior to Diaspora; for example, there is an editor of sorts for composing posts, and I can connect to multiple services such as WordPress (going to have to set up a new blog for this very purpose) and to top it off, I am in complete control, which is particularly appealing to me.



A couple of things I am reaching for an not finding:

A button in the post-editor for lists

A way to send PM's to Diaspora people



Everything seems nicely done. Slightly rough around the edges, like most open-source applications I use, but functional and mine. MINE!!!

Friendica: nerd network or brilliant connector?

Well, it looks like I finally have Friendica running properly on my server...now I have to re-add all of my contacts once again, and hopefully this will connect with Diaspora networks as well.

And suddenly I have a social network...

Just to see if it were possible, I have set up Friendica on my home-computer, which is also an email-server and web-server.
Here we go, I hope this works!
